Cat Ghaut is a private estate located on Nevis, just up from the airport on Shaws Road. This estate is paradise! Featuring the main house which walks out onto the first hole of your very own private 12-hole golf course. The house, with two comfortable bedrooms featuring full beds, allow guests to find plenty of space to relax. Each bedroom has an adjacent bathroom which include showers, hair dryers, and towels making freshening up a breeze. All three bedrooms have air conditioning, i.e. the third bedroom is actually the television room right off the pool, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep. Whether you are winding down from a day of exploring or enjoying quiet solitude at Cat Ghaut, this excellent estate offers the perfect retreat from life. When staying at Cat Ghaut, be certain to explore your own private gardens, trails throughout the Ghaut, or play a leisurely round of golf with views of St Kitts and the Caribbean Sea. Even better, if you want to nap while playing golf, there are Gulliver Benches which swing and are 7’ long, perfect for the anytime siesta. If you bring a libation, the benches have built-in cup holders in their center to ensure ease of enjoyment.
Cat Ghaut was originally built by my grandfather and was completely open-air. It has since been renovated for modern amenities but the house has retained its original Nevisian feel. The house was completely renovated using Nevisian craftsman and products local to the two islands. In fact, all the furniture within Cat Ghaut is either old Estate furniture or constructed on site by Cat Ghaut's own Nevisian craftsman. In addition, the grounds continue to be managed by locals, many of whom have worked at Cat Ghaut for decades. When visiting, please introduce yourself and they will be happy to show you about the grounds.
